-1 Time to deal with the rust

Posted in Site stuff on 5 May 2008 by Lykofos

Just a quick post today.    I read someplace that about 90% (not accurate, don’t quote that number) of all blogs started get abandoned.   Seems this one is going that way.   To be quite frank, I had forgot about it.  At least it’s not like forgetting something in the fridge.   However it’s time to clean off the rust and actually do something with this site.   Thus the direction of this blog is going toward one of my pastimes: World of Warcraft.    Its not going to be totally World of Warcraft, although I can likely find enough things WoW related to yak about.   However the main focus will be set in WoW with non WoW content being whatever interests me, which is rather broad.    Anyway, enough for now.   Oh, and I see the WordPress folks have included a spellcheck feature, time to “test” it.

Update:   Uploaded a new header.   This post can be considered the end of my old blog (such as it was with five whole posts) and the start of my new revamped blog.   Thus the site content starts with the next new post.

-2 [07 Aug 2006] My look at the rust

Oh boy! It has been a very long time since I have posted. Months. However things have been both busy and chaotic. Finally the heatwave that had settled over nothern Italy has lifted for the moment. It was to friggin hot to do anything but lie in on the stone floor and sweat. However it was not as bad as the one in the US. Maybe there is something to this Global Warming idea. At the very least, Georgie Bush should at least wake and smell the air pollution. However all Bush Inc. cares about is that he and his cronies get rich. At the very least he should turn to Lebanon and crack both Israel’s and Hezabollah’s heads together. Sure those those morons in the Middle East hate each other but why should the people of Lebanon have to caught the middle and die for it? Beruit in the 1980’s was bad enough. Unforunately I doubt the US will do much since Georgie and Co. do not seem to care about anything except money. Note these are my views on that mess.

Continuing on with the chaos that seems to afflict this blog, I have had the “pleasure” of trying to find work in Italy. The biggest problem I have is language. I have been trying to locate an Italian course however what I have found seems to be flakey. The local Scientologist (shudder) had a course but the instuctor spoke no English and her Italian had a heavy French accent which is not good for an English speaker trying to learn the language. Another course I located was more promiseing but when I go the scheduled class at the appointed date/time/place, no one is there! WTF?! And now that August is here I can forget about locating anymore classes since most of Italy (and Europe) shuts down for holiday. The city is beginning to resemble a ghost town with all the shops that are closed for holiday. All well, at least I get continue playing World of Warcraft.

-5 [24 JAN 2006]: The first post

Posted in Ancient posts, Site stuff on 24 Jan 2006 by Lykofos

This is the first post of what I hope will be a decent blog. My hopes for this blog is that it will informative and updated on a regular basis. Then again, it will likely just get forgotten about like a 52 Chevy pickup truck, rusting away behind some old weathered barn, somewhere along US Hwy 2, in the middle of Nowhere, Montana. Pretty lenghthy and descriptive sentence eh?

The idea behind this blog is to feature things that interest me and I think would interest others. Subjects that I would like to cover include technology, gaming, some sports, and anything else that happens to come along. That is the plan but the rusting truck fate also awaits too if I am not careful. So without further delay on with the blog!

[Edited 14 Mar 2005 because I cannot spell worth a damn the first time around]
